Design of Stimuli‐Responsive Dynamic Covalent Delivery Systems for Volatile Compounds (Part 2): Fragrance‐Releasing Cleavable Surfactants in Functional Perfumery Applications

نویسندگان

چکیده

Amphiphilic imines prepared by condensation of a hydrophobic fragrance aldehyde with hydrophilic amine derived from poly(propylene oxide) and poly(ethylene diblock copolymer were investigated as cleavable surfactant profragrances in applications functional perfumery. In water, the surfactants assemble into micelles that allow solubilization perfume molecules are not covalently attached to surfactant. Dynamic headspace analysis on glass surface showed solubilized evaporated similar manner presence compared non-cleavable reference Under application conditions, imine hydrolysed release linked aldehyde. The stable during storage aqueous media, upon dilution blooming effect for hydrolytical more balanced performance retaining volatile fragrances boosting evaporation less fragrances.

Functional systems with orthogonal dynamic covalent bonds.

This review summarizes the use of orthogonal dynamic covalent bonds to build functional systems. Dynamic covalent bonds are unique because of their dual nature. They can be as labile as non-covalent interactions or as permanent as covalent bonds, depending on conditions. Examples from nature, reaching from the role of disulfides in protein folding to thioester exchange in polyketide biosynthesi...

A mild chemically cleavable linker system for functional proteomic applications.

One of the primary goals in the field of proteomics is finding ways to enrich specific protein targets from complex mixtures. Generally, this is accomplished with activity-based probes (ABPs) that allow specific modification by the formation of a stable covalent bond with reactive groups on a target protein. Such proteomic probes often carry biotin tags and can either be generally reactive towa...

Overview of Reverse Osmosis for Chemical Engineers. Part 2: Applications of Transport Models

This second part of the overview of reverse osmosis investigates the ability of membrane transport models, presented in Part 1, to describe and/or predict membrane performance under different operating conditions. The problem of using the transport models to describe mixed solute systems is also discussed. The emphasis is to provide a simple, practical, and yet comprehensive summary of the most...
